Born into a Christian family in Mumbai, Paul naturally gravitated towards painting on iconic themes. As a self-trained artist, he began honing his skills at an early age, resulting in instinctive works that blend traditional with contemporary styles, merging classical Indian with Russian and Christian religious art. His participation in numerous group and solo exhibitions has led to his works being featured in private collections across India, as well as in prominent cities like New York, London, San Francisco, and South Africa.
While primarily working in oil, he also enjoys exploring different media such as gold and silver leaf, as well as photo inks. Listening to his inner being, he paints spontaneously without sketching and what surfaces is a true, free-flowing narrative direct from his soul. Each piece is inspired by the depth of experiences, steeped in his own personal Christian past.
