Sanjay Sawant studied in the Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai. At a young age, he embarked on his journey as an independent abstract painter to cultivate his passion for painting. Throughout his artistic development, he actively participated in numerous workshops worldwide, immersing himself in diverse environments, cultures, and traditions, all of which he intricately integrated into his creations. His painting style is distinctive and unconventional.
Sanjay’s horizons of capturing inanimate objects have widened, and now he focuses on portraying space. Recognizing that nature surrounds us, he aims to connect his spirit with space through his art. By merging his spirit with nature, he becomes one with it, enabling him to create paintings that reflect this union.
