Pradeep Naik, Goa
Pradeep Naik, born in Hyderabad, pursued his Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Communication, Hyderabad. He is currently practicing from his studio in Mandrem, Goa.
In a confined space of one square foot, Pradeep Naik’s distinctive sculpture pays homage to ‘Pao’. The art of bread-making was introduced to India by the Portuguese in the 16th century. In Goa, various types of bread are enjoyed, including Pao, Poli, Katreacho Pao, and Kankan.
