Deepak Sonar, Pune
Born in Nasik and practicing in Pune, Deepak completed his G.D in Art at Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He furthered his education by obtaining a Diploma in Art Education from the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. He began his artistic journey initially focusing on figurative paintings and portraits but after a short stay at Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal he contemplated and his practice started exploring art beyond the lines confined to figurative art.
In the exhibits Deepak’s brush gravitates towards serene shades of greens and blues, echoing the tranquillity, grace, and fluidity of water’s beauty. His paintings enchant the viewers and introduce them to their innermost emotions, which one can witness looking at the confined space of one square foot provided in the show.
