Description

Bhisaji Gadekar, Goa

Hailing from Goa, Bhisaji earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Goa College of Art, followed by a Master’s Degree in sculpture from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan. He is presently practicing from his hometown in Goa.

The exhibition showcases three of his works titled as ‘Dialogue’, ‘Horizon’ and ‘Stage’ which reflects the tussle between the subconscious and conscious minds which ultimately leads to the super conscious mind to get trapped in an illusion of dynamic reality of life. This work is an endeavour to explore the potential of the energy trapped within us in the form of super conscious mind. In the tussle of life, human simply becomes a representative of social relations in this mundane world, living unaware about its real meaning of life. The narrative unfolds as a poetic exploration of the symbiotic relationship between the individual and social web that defines our
existence in the world. The sculptures illustrate the birth and assimilation of new ideas that shape our perceptions of life and encapsulates the metamorphosis of life into a taboo, an enigma that often eludes our comprehension.
